Oftentimes, indoor soccer provides the training needs of soccer teams during the off-season. It keeps soccer players in top form while allowing them to improve their skills and have fun.

In indoor soccer, generally, there are 6 to 8 players on the field at one time. With this number, the participants have more time getting near the ball, and consequently, have more touches with the ball. This gives the players a better opportunity to develop basic skills such as ball control, passing, dribbling, and shooting.

The constant, end-to-end action allows the players to develop conditioning and stamina. Additionally, the circumstances in indoor soccer are constantly changing. The 360-degree venue allows the ball to come anywhere in the field. This will develop the players’ abilities to shift positions (from offense to defense, or vice versa) and make quick but intelligent decisions on the field.

The confined venue of indoor soccer also promotes an increased awareness of a team concept. Since only a few players play at one time, each one covers a larger territory on defense. Passing and receiving increases as each player support each other.
