Heidi Scott is a longstanding presence in the Mt. Sterling, Illinois legal community who maintains a practice as CPA and attorney and serves the diverse needs of clients in areas ranging from estate tax to real estate. Passionate about music, Heidi Scott instructed advanced flute while a Springfield, Illinois resident in the late 1990s and earned a National Flute Association Annual Competition ranking.

For years now, Heidi Scott has preformed many of the most beloved flute songs of all times from such composers as George Philipp Telemann, Johann Sebastian Bach, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and Claude Debussy. Telemann’s baroque music had a style all of its own and can be heard in his 12 Fantasias for solo flute which include movements that would normally seem impossible for a solo flute, like fugues and passacaglias.

Representing the traditional musical style of the classical period, Mozart composed his first flute concerto when he was only 22 years old and that concerto marked him as one of the most creative and ingenious composers of all time. Today his concerto continues to be considered a true masterpiece of classical flute music. Mozart’s first flute concerto consists of three movements: Allegro maestoso, Adagio ma Non Troppo and Tempo di minuetto. Although Heidi Scott loves the classical repertoire, she is also well versed in a wide variety of musical genre including modern and jazz.
